Get fresh turns all day long, carry your backcountry skis or down hill skis into the high county on your sled. Carriers are quick release for those days that you just want to Brap. The Carrier Forks are situated at a 45 degree angle, this orientation positions the skis towards the outside of the tunnel allowing for the use of your tunnel bag without interference. The Fork carrier is made of high quality, engineered, Delrin plastic. The plastic material is used here because its gentler on your ski edges. Base plates are 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and attach to your snowmobile tunnel via four stainless steel screws. Your skis are held into the fork carriers using a standard 20” Voile strap, which most Backcountry skiers are already carrying, why not put them to use. A single Stainless Steel Ball Detent pin holds the Fork to the Base. Fork Carriers will accommodate ski’s and skins up to a maximum combined thickness of 1.25in
This is the Base System ski rack for Gen 4 and Gen 5 Skidoo Summit, X, and Expert snowmobiles. It does not use the LinQ brackets and will require drilling new mounting holes. The hole spacing is positioned such that the drilled holes end up just outside the heat exchanger on the underside of the tunnel. The set includes two mounting bases, two forks, two retaining pins, two Voile straps of your color choice, and the mounting hardware. This is enough to carry one set of skis.
